\n\tWe\u2019ve seen countless candidates receive offers because the interviewer \nwas impressed with the questions they asked.  Good questions have depth,\n display intelligence and highlight your understanding of their \nsituation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\tThe best questions are ones that uncover how best you can help them.  \nWhat is keeping them up at night?   What issues will cause them the most\n pain if not handled properly?  What solutions can I offer to problems \nthey\u2019re having now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\tIf you can\u2019t think of anything, choose 2 or 3 questions from below and \nmake sure you ask them all.  When they ask \u201cDo you have any questions?\u201d –\n NEVER say that you think they\u2019ve pretty much covered it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\tQuestions to ask in an interview:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
  1. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhat 2 or 3 things would you expect this person to accomplish within the first 6 months?\n\t<\/li>
  2. \n\t\tWhat 3 things are most important for someone to have to succeed in this position?<\/li>
  3. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhat are the biggest issues your department is facing in the upcoming year?\n\t<\/li>
  4. \n\t\tWhat are the characteristics of your top people?<\/li>
  5. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhat are three main qualities you are looking for in a candidate?\n\t<\/li>
  6. \n\t\tHow do you see me fitting in with your company?<\/li>
  7. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhy did you join the company?  What do you like\/dislike about it the most?\n\t<\/li>
  8. \n\t\tHow do I compare with the other candidates you\u2019ve met?<\/li>
  9. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhat hesitations do you have about my ability to do this job?\n\t<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    The following \u201cMe\u201d oriented questions should be asked later in the process \u2013 once they feel secure that you are the one they want:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
    1. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhere do you see the company going in the next 5 to 10 years?\n\t<\/li>
    2. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tMay I meet some of the people I\u2019d be working with?\n\t<\/li>
    3. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tHow do you develop your people?\n\t<\/li>
    4. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tHow is the department viewed by the rest of the company?\n\t<\/li>
    5. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWhat would a typical day in this position be like?\n\t<\/li>
    6. \n\t\t\n\t\t\tWho are your major competitors, and how is the company doing compared to them?  What sort of market advantages do you have?\n\t<\/li>
