Paula Castadio is the Vice President for University Advancement at Fresno State University. She was previously President & CEO of ValleyPBS, the sole non-commercial educational public television station serving California’s Central Valley. She has dedicated 25 years to public service media and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Paula has enjoyed many public television leadership positions and served two terms on the National PBS Board and Pacific Mountain Network Executive Council. Locally, she is a proud Rotarian, member of the Fresno Business Council’s Executive Board and was recently selected to join the James Irvine Foundation New Leadership Network. She also enjoys coordinating partnerships with numerous arts and community organizations committed to making a positive difference in the Valley. Paula was the first chair of the Valley Cultural Coalition and was recognized as one of the “Top Ten Business and Professional Women” of Fresno County in 2006.

Valley PBS is seen as a neutral and trusted partner, and as such, we work with others to build momentum, attention, and importance for issues that matter. Leveraging our ability to create content across multiple platforms to reach broad and diverse audiences, including underserved populations and those that are deeply engaged in local issues, can create a movement of productive change through greater education, storytelling, and connections to resources for the improvement of overall individual and community performance. Since no one media outlet, organization, or individual can bring about this kind of change alone, it is important for me to model my beliefs as a leader both at work and in our community, and to support community efforts that are committed to collective impact. When a unique mix of people comes together with an open mind and a shared commitment to discover something new, great things can happen.”
